Creative West Concept Design Revealed

We’re SO EXCITED to share what the team has been working on - the concept design for Creative West, a Maribyrnong City Council project developed through close collaboration with the community and project partners. 

And when we say ‘close’, we mean more than 1,100 responses from the broader community, deep conversations across 19 focus groups, rich insights from Wurundjeri Elders, and a 27-member co-design group that helped shape the vision. 

The 500-plus seat theatre, 3-level library and nurturing green space in the heart of Footscray will provide critical facilities and opportunity for expression, expansion, relaxation, activation… you name it! It’s the kind of project that is set to revitalise and serve not just the local community but also the Greater West.

We are thrilled with the deep level of co-design, which means that Creative West is truly BY AND FOR the people.
