Meeniyan Community Hub scoops 2 ArchiTeam Awards
We were thrilled to pick up the Community & Public Award on 19 November November, as well as the ArchiTeam Medal, ‘The highest honour bestowed by ArchiTeam, [that]… celebrates work that not only achieves excellence across all criteria but also advances the profession and demonstrates architecture's capacity to positively impact society.’
As a member-run organisation that advocates for small, medium and emerging practices, ArchiTeam recognises that you don’t have to be big to make big impact. It’s something we 1000% believe in, and aligns with how we approach our regional work, aka small towns can/should/do contain big architectural ideas.
In fact, it was the lived experiences and mighty voices of the 771-strong local population that drove the brief and helped us see that this project could be so much more than a toilet block and some meeting rooms. The passionate community reference group helped shape the design through ongoing engagement and demonstrated once again how projects are a direct reflection of their citizens. So these awards are really for them.
Congratulations to the other 2025 Winners and Finalists, a cohort we’re honoured to be part of. And our deepest thanks to our client, team, consultants, the Meeniyan community and the ArchiTeam judges.
