Creative West Concept Design Revealed

We are SO excited to share what we’ve been working on with our partners for this city-shaping Maribyrnong City Council project. We’ve spent the last months in CLOSE collaboration with community (1,100 responses, 19 focus groups, a 27-member co-design group, plus rich insights from Wurundjeri Elders) and can now reveal the concept design for Creative West.

The 500-seat theatre, 3-level library and nurturing green space in the heart of Footscray will provide critical facilities and opportunity for expression, expansion, relaxation, activation… you name it! It’s the kind of project that is set to revitalise and serve not just the local community but also the Greater West.

We are thrilled with the deep level of co-design, which means that Creative West is truly BY AND FOR the people.
